    • Alliance Bank Targets 10% Net Profit Growth by End of Financial Year 2019

      Alliance Bank Malaysia Bhd is looking to attain a net profit growth of 10% by the end of 2019. The bank has seen an improvement in the consumer behaviour pattern after the GST was removed in June.

      The bank has invested RM74 million in order to transform their strategies and to reach their goals. A lower after-tax profit of 3.7% was recorded in the previous financial year. Joel Kornreich, the CEO of Alliance Bank feels that the net impact of the expenses could decrease to zero by the next financial year which could increase the total net profit of the bank.

      The bank expects its revenue to grow by 6% this financial year compared to the 7% of the last year. The bank also hopes to see a rapid increase in loan growth by 10% this financial year from the 2.5% of the last year. The major contributors in the loan growth would be small and medium-sized enterprises' loans and personal financing, with each contributing 15% each.
