    Types of CIMB Home Loans

    • Home Loan: This is a conventional term loan that comes with flexible loan tenure and zero processing fee. A loan is provided for both completed and under construction residential properties through this scheme.
    • HomeFlexi: The loan scheme for completed and under construction residential properties also offers Group Mortgage Term Assurance to its customers. Excess payment facility is also facilitated with this scheme.
    • HomeFlexi Smart: The home loan comes with the feature of prepayment and withdrawal of excessive prepayment at any time. Moreover, extra setup and maintenance fees are not charged to a customer.
    • My First Home Scheme: The home loan scheme exclusively caters to the young adults, single or married, who are looking to own their own home. Margin of financing offered under this scheme is up to 100%.
    • Vacant Land Flexi Smart: The loan scheme is applicable for the purchase of residential, commercial, industrial or agricultural vacant lands. The scheme provides a margin of financing of up to 90% (for residential land), up to 70% (for commercial and industrial land) and up to 60% (for agricultural land). Moreover, flexible loan tenures are offered for the Vacant Land Flexi Smart scheme ranging from 5 to 30 years, according to the type of property being purchased.
    • Overseas Mortgage Loan: The home loan scheme that also gives refinancing facility is exclusively for those who are looking to buy a property overseas. The scheme provides mortgage loans for properties in Malaysia, United Kingdom, and Australia.
    • Home Loan for PR1MA Homes: The 1Malaysia People’s Housing (PR1MA) programme offers fully financing for constructed or under construction housing properties. The margin of financing offered for the scheme is up to 100% plus 5% for GMTA, stamp duties and legal fees.

    How To Apply

    A customer can make an application for the CIMB Home Loan schemes by following methods:

    Offline Application: Applicants need to visit to the nearest branch of the CIMB and collect the application form for the home loan. They then can fill the form and attach all required documents to it before submitting it to the customer service agents at the bank.

    Online Application: Applicant can find the application form for the CIMB Home Loan on the official website of the bank. On completing the name and contact details column, the application can be submitted through the website. The bank representatives will guide a customer for further documents submission and other procedures.


    If a customer wishes to calculate the monthly instalment, they can visit the official website. He/she can obtain the value of their monthly payments after filling the financing amount, tenure and profit rate.

    Q. While obtaining the Vacant Land Flexi Smart loan scheme, do I need to pay any redraw charges?

    A. Yes. Irrespective of the amount you are withdrawing, you will have to pay RM25 for each transaction you conduct via OTC or the branch.
