    How Does Maybank Islamic Cash Rebate Work?

    Imagine that you fuel up your car and do your grocery shopping mostly on weekends. For every RM1 you spend on petrol or groceries on a Friday or a Saturday with the Maybank Islamic Mastercard Gold Ikhwan Card-i, you get a cash rebate of 5%.

    This cashback amount for both spending categories is capped at RM50 for a month. So, if you spend a cumulative amount of RM800 in a month on petrol and RM1,400 on groceries during this same period, your total retail spend will be RM2,200.

    Considering the fact that you’ll get a 5% cash rebate on your petrol and grocery expenses, your total cashback should be RM110. However, the amount of rebate you can get is limited to RM50 per month. Consequently, the total cashback you’ll get for this month is RM50.

    Cash rebate for the Maybank Islamic Mastercard Platinum Ikhwan Card-i works much the same way as the Gold version of the card, wherein you get 5% cashback on petrol and grocery expenses.

    The amount of cash rebate for both spending categories is limited to RM50 per month. So, if you spend a cumulative amount of RM700 on groceries and RM220 on petrol in a month, your total retail spend will be RM920.
