InternationalExclusive Self and family, with additional premium. How to Claim

Cashless Claims
  • AXA Healthcare Card is issued for all insured patients, applicable at all empanelled hospitals in Malaysia.
  • Preliminary diagnosis from the doctor to be submitted to AXA.
  • An initial Guarantee Letter will be issued to the hospital for admission, depending on the benefit limits.
  • Hospital should provide the full diagnosis reports to evaluate.
  • For treatment processes where the decision is not made immediately by AXA and paid by you, claims can be made later and reimbursed.
Non-Panel Hospitals
  • Bills are to be initially paid off by the family.
  • Claim form, original itemised bills, receipts, and other relevant claim documents are to be submitted later to AXA.
360 CancerCare
  • Call the AXA helpline at 1 300 88 1616 anytime between Monday to Thursday between  8.30 a.m and 5.30 p.m., or on Friday between 8.30 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. (except public holidays).
200 CancerCare, 110 Critical Illness (CI) Care
  • Written notice must be given within the time frame as specified within the policy contract.
  • Proof of claims and related documents are to be submitted.
SmartCancer Cash
  • Contact the AXA Customer Service number at (603) 2170 8282 or log in to the website and download a form.
  • Submit the required documents to AXA.
  • Claim shall be reverted to within 7 working days. Upon approval, payment shall be done within 3 working days.

AXA Health Insurance provides a number of pre and post-hospitalisation support to the insured. It also offers a number of policies for cancer-related ailments as well. Q. Can I make multiple claims on medical expenses?

A. No. You cannot make multiple claims for the same medical expense under panel or non-panel hospitals.

Q. Is the premium for the AXA eMedic cheaper for the deductible plan?

A. Yes. The deductible plan is cheaper since you shall be bearing some of the expenses yourself.

Q. How long is the coverage of the 200 CancerCare plan and how are the different benefits distributed?

A. The coverage for the plan is for 20 years. With the diagnosis of Early Stage Cancer or Advanced Stage Cancer, Therapy Care and Get Well Benefits are provided to the insured. AXA Care Benefit is also offered as a value-added benefit. Bereavement Benefit is offered in the incidence of death of the patient before the detection of cancer.

Q. How do I apply for the 360 CancerCare?

A. Since it is a rider, it has to be linked to one of the investment-linked basic plans of AXA. You can contact your agent or the helpline for more details.

Q. How long is the cooling-off period under the AXA policies?

A. You can cancel the policy after it has been issued. There is a cooling-off period of 15 days from the date of issue, given that no claims were made during this period. Premium of the policy shall be repaid after expenses have been deducted, as applicable.

Q. What are the countries not covered under the InternationalExclusive Plan?

A. The policy has different areas of coverage. These are as follows:

  • Worldwide—Includes all countries.
  • Worldwide—All countries excluding USA and US Minor Outlying Islands.
